Dan, you and your photography are brilliant - thoughtful, insightful, and tiimeless yet contemporary. I have three questions:
1.) Where do you get the inspirations for your creative work (and commercial, for that matter)?
2.) Why is your work not nationally/internationally known? Or maybe it is?

1) I make a concerted effort to ignore what other photographers are shooting. I avoid trends. I find it best for me to draw inspiration from all forms of art, the further removed from photography the better. That’s the key to being original I think.

2) You mean my dozens & dozens of Tumblr followers don’t make me famous? Honestly, there are tonnes of talented people out there. Many make me look like I don’t know the difference between an f-stop and a bus stop. Hopefully I’ll get to that level too. Also, like most creatives I suck at promoting myself.
